Byron Bay Ballina or Lismore, dive masters, diving professionals assistant instructors & diving instructors are required to hold a current First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Provider (Advanced Resuscitation) Certificates. We can help.

HLTAID015 – Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy

This course will provide you with Advanced Resuscitation Techniques including the use of oxygen and an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and advanced life-threatening bleeding control with tourniquets and wound packing haemostatic dressings.

Learn advanced airway management techniques for first responders

Advanced airway management techniques and oxygenation are critical patient management skills. They are low-frequency skills with a very high potential of risk. Learn from professional paramedic educators to apply advanced resuscitation skills and knowledge in our nationally accredited course HLTAID015.

Diving qualifications

Our courses meet AS/NZS 2299.1 and requirements, anyone wanting to do a diving course, or those who already hold certification, are required to have and maintain, particular First Aid certifications for diving.

  • Current First Aid qualification (3 yearly recertifications)
  • Current CPR qualification (12 monthly certifications)
  • Current Oxygen Administration qualification (12 monthly certifications)

All accredited first aid organisations like International Paramedic College based in the northern rivers of NSW or National organisations like St John, Red Cross, surf lifesaving, and Austswim and the Australian Resuscitation Council recommend refreshing First aid skills every 3 years and CPR every 12 months.

What do I need to bring along to your first aid training day

Are there any prerequisites to learning?

Please note: This course has a pre-requisite of HLTAID011 Provide First Aid. This means that before you can attend this course you must attend and complete a Provide First Aid HLTAID011 course. (HLTAID003 is not accepted). This is due to a national training package update. If you have already completed Provide First Aid HLTAID011 you will need to supply your certificate to us as soon as possible. If you have not completed this prerequisite course you will need to book and attend a course prior to completing Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy HLTAID015.

You will need to have sufficient English language skills to complete the competency-based first aid training.

You will also be required to undertake practical training and assessments at floor level which includes demonstrating CPR on a manikin for two minutes.

If you have reduced mobility or a current injury that may make this difficult please call and discuss this with us prior to booking.

Participants under the age of 18 are required to provide a consent form completed by their legal guardian. Please download and complete the form. You can submit it by email prior to your training day or hand it to your trainer prior to commencing training.
